What I Liked This Week – 15th July

Moviedrome Archive

If you are of a certain age then you will probably remember Moviedrome. It was a late night series of films presented by Alex Cox. It was home to unusual, interesting and occasionally awful films. If nothing else they were films that should be watched by any discerning film fan.

Luckily there is an archive listing all shown films courtesy of Kurtodrome available at http://www.kurtodrome.net/moviedrome.htm

Kutrodrome also has good film blog at http://kurtodrome.wordpress.com/

Goodwill Community Foundation – LearnFree.org

I got my hands on Office 2010 this week and whilst looking for a guide to what has changed since 2007 I found a website with great training materials and mobile apps.

http://www.gcflearnfree.org/ has guides on all versions of Office, Basic Computer Skills, Reading and Mathematics that are all freely available.

Faber: 60 Years in 60 Poems

An interesting site that contains a poem for each of the last 60 years. It is designed for modern web browsers e.g. not Internet Explorer and is well worth an explore.
